So due to uni, I’ve been away from the sims for nearly a year, more or less. As such, I tend to go “OH MY GOD DID YOU KNOW THAT THEY HAVE ACCESSORY BANGS NOW?!” and my friends just sort of give me a pitying look. Well, then, imagine my surprise when I found that said bangs had not had any realphas done! Or, to our knowledge (please correct me if I’m wrong!). Anyway, I decided to rectify this situation. I nabbed these Pooklet retextures from bunheadsbuns, and opened up BodyShop. I quickly discovered WHY no one had realpha’d: the texture mapping is preposterous. It took some time, and a lot of tweaking, but eventually it worked!
Actually, it worked too well. Before I knew it, I had somehow made THREE realphas and some streaked textures to recolour with. Sometimes I wish my projects didn’t turn into monsters.
On to the details:
- There are, as I mentioned, 3 alphas. Classigoth is the longest of the three, on the right in the teaser image. Cybergoth is super-short, on the left in the teaser. The center, then, is Psychogoth (my personal favourite of the three), which is just the point, without the sloped-down sides that the other two have.
- I haven’t included all of Pooklet’s unnaturals, because after a while I just couldn’t stand it anymore and I picked only the ones I really really liked/the ones that weren’t too samey. It turns out I only included a black recolour for Psychogoth, though I intended to do one for all of them. I’ll get to that eventually. All of them include “Volatile” however, in case anyone wants to do more Pookletting easily.
- All files are helpfully named, and in the folder I’ve included the large version of the swatches so you can easily pick which colours you do or don’t want.
The three teaser models are also showcasing some of my beta projects – my cougar skin, my horned alien face template, and my Enayla Serpent skinblend! :3

I love these! But…where’s the mesh? I’d like the fixed one, but google isn’t helping out right now. Can anybody link to it please? Thanks!

Apparently the fixed mesh is by http://le-plat-du-jour.livejournal.com, but I couldn’t find it on her lj. In any case, the fixed mesh is available at that first post. ^_^ Thanks for pointing that out! I am never sure whether accessories require a mesh or not.
Oh! >:D These are super awesome. If you don’t mind, I’d really love to use your alpha and do the recolors in naturals. It’s just a little bit of point-click, but you were the one who took the time to wrestle with the alpha. ^^
Also, out of curiosity, I know this mesh flashes blue – did you by chance happen to fix it or know of a fixed version? Because I haven’t been able to use the straight bangs since my walk-bys always have blue bangs.

I’m glad you found the fixed mesh! And yes, I’d love it if you did recolours using these alphas! Heck, if you want I’ll even send you my .psd files if you wanted to make other alpha changes or use my streaks template. XD You should absolutely let me know if you make recolours, so that I can link to them from here!
This flashing-blue-thing only happens ingame, right? I didn’t notice it in BS…
And I’d love to see them in natural colors, I had a hard time finding the black Classigoth until I noticed there is none xD

I didn’t know about the accessory bangs either! But then I’m just generally out of the loop. :p I really like the pointed bangs!
